During her time serving college students, Dr. Hill focused in the treatment and prevention of eating disorders and has worked on a variety of committees and treatment teams for this unique population. When entering into private practice after her internship, Dr. Hill continued her work and passion in providing care to those impacted by disordered eating and body image concerns.
As a Fredericksburg native, Dr. Hill is familiar with the need for comprehensive and in depth treatment for eating disorders in this underserved area, prompting the development of PsychED Recovery, Inc. The practice is continually looking to grow and expand to accommodate the high demand for services.
Dr. Hill also works with and has training in the impacts of sexual violence, particularly with male-identified survivors; self-harm; life transitions; gender affirming care; and processing interpersonal distress.
Dr. Hill operates from a humanistic and client-centered lens while integrating DBT, psychodynamic, and interpersonal approaches. She believes that clients are the experts of their own lives, and focuses on collaborative work with clients to foster growth and motivation. Dr. Hill strives to create a nonjudgmental, safe, and supportive environment for clients to practice skills and interventions used together in sessions.
