Dan Schultz earned his Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition, Public Health, and Dietetics from University of Minnesota and his Master of Clinical Nutrition from UT Southwestern. Dan also completed his internship in Clinical Dietetics at University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center. He has extensive experience as a registered and licensed dietitian within the field of eating disorders, including providing services for a 16 bed residential treatment facility at The Emily Program, primary ED Dietitian at the University of Texas at Dallas, and various private practices focused on the treatment and prevention of eating disorders.
Dan’s clinical interests include eating disorders, disordered eating, and body image concerns. As a former collegiate athlete, Dan is passionate about serving child and young adult athletes in addition to clinical and practical experience working with clients diagnosed with PCOS, diabetes, and those looking to improve their relationship with food overall.
Dan is a non-diet, HAES-aligned practitioner and strives to create a safe and non-judgmental space in nutrition. In his work with patients, Dan utilizes a gentle, supportive, and patient-centered approach to help individuals heal their relationship with food and their bodies. Dan works collaboratively with all care professionals on each patient’s treatment team to ensure best practice and to provide valuable insight into his patient’s progress in reclaiming their lives from their eating disorder.
Dan is a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS) affiliated with the International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (iaedp), and the International Federation of Eating Disorder Dietitians (IFEDD).
